white light to the warrior lion

The Kennedys have defined my political life. I was a little girl when JFK was shot, and his assassination initiated my political awareness. I have been inspired, enthralled, astonished, elevated, challenged and sometimes alarmed by John, Bobby and Ted. But most of all I have been grateful to them, especially Ted, who has spent a lifetime in the service of his fellow Americans, who has never failed to fulfill the human obligations of compassion and generosity to which most others pay lip service. Imperfect--for certain, as are we all. Beleaguered--more than most. But always generous, seemingly tireless, and ever willing to fight the good fight.

Blessings upon you, Senator, and eternal thanks.

Kia ora Maryanne,
Cheers for this. I was surprised at how deeply I felt affected by this news. You captured my mood as well. The first cognizant memory I have is watching the horse drawn carriage covered with the flag and carrying the casket of JFK. My mom was crying and I remember that moment vividly. I was not yet 3. Have a great day.
Ka kite,
Robb

You are so right. Ted's lifelong fight for justice has affected and improved all our lives. Like you, I'm sending white light and praying for his good health. His courage and compassion has never been more needed.
