cat whiskers

I collect cat whiskers.

didn't you already know I was weird? I mean, the dessicated lizards in my profile might have been a clue, though mostly I collect normal things--sea shells, stones, feathers. I can't help it, when I see something beautiful and/or interesting that Nature has offered me, I consider it a gift.

so when I clean my house and come across a cat whisker--or, more likely, just happen to spot one on a counter or the floor--I have to pick it up. and then what? throw it away? no. I put it in a triangular wooden box. someday maybe, I'll do something with them. maybe use them as cat whiskers on a cat painting.

or maybe I'll forget about them. that happens too.

until I come across another one.

Not at all weird. OK, this is coming from from someone who has a box of wishbones in the cupboard and enough feathers in jars and tubs to build a whole new cockatiel.

ha! yes I know about the wishbones, of course! and I collect them, too.

but be careful what you say about building new cockatiels. Poirrot reads this blog.
